World of Warships is a popular MMO that primarily functions as a vehicle-focused battle arena game. The graphical fidelity is quite impressive, with highly realistic ship models and stunning visual effects that make battles come to life.

This game lets you engage in intense firefights with enemy warships while dodging torpedoes and mines in thrilling, action-packed battles. You can choose from warships belonging to eight countries, each with unique strengths and weaknesses.

As you progress through the game, the challenge becomes more intense, and the rewards more significant. You get to unlock new weapons, healing aids, and tougher enemy ships that help you take your skills to the next level.

Just like World of Warships Blitz, this game asks you to take charge of a warship and engage in intense naval warfare. However, this one specializes in warships from World War II. It does an awe-inspiring job of simulating the most epic naval battles of the 20th century.

Your mission is to dominate the sea using your powerful weapons and precise aim to sink enemy ships. To keep your warship in top condition, you must collect valuable resources such as Dollars, Recovery HP, and Repair Tokens during the battle. You can even use the in-game dollars you collect to purchase bigger and better warships as you progress through the game.

For each stage, there is a certain goal that you have to achieve to progress. Strategic maneuvering is essential to your success, as you must defend your warship against enemy attacks while simultaneously taking down the opposing team's ships.

If you're looking for a competitive multiplayer challenge on the high seas, this game is what you're looking for. Set in the early shipbuilding era, this game offers an array of authentic wooden ships from the 18th century. Whether you prefer speed, control, or defense, you will find the perfect vessel to suit your play style.

After choosing an appropriate ship, you must master naval strategies and reinvent your tactics to survive. You need to pay attention to the wind, weave through rocks to protect your hull, and target your opponent's sails for maximum impact.

As you advance through the ranks, you can upgrade your ship's weapons, power, and speed for even greater performance and damage potential. The immersive soundtrack brings the high seas to life with the creaking of wooden hulls and thunderous cannon fire.

If you are a fan of city-building games, this one might interest you. What sets this simulator apart is its unique gameplay that focuses on building and managing your port city instead of engaging in ship-to-ship combat. You are given a vast expanse of land along the shores where you can construct your dream metropolis.

The game offers various objectives that you must fulfill, such as mining coal and shipping it out using your vessels. With newer game levels, you will face increasingly difficult obstacles. For example, you will encounter challenges requiring an immediate attention, such as a landslide blocking the regular train route.

For each task, you will be rewarded with gems, coins, or keys, which you can use to unlock new dispatchers, larger ship containers, and more. The only downside is that you can't pilot most of the container ships yourself, as the game focuses more on the city-building aspect.

Unlike typical warship battle games, this simulator lets you master the driving controls of different boats, from luxurious yachts to exciting speedboats. The gameplay loop is similar to some of the best flight simulator games. Steering the ship may be challenging initially, but with practice, you can unleash your inner captain and dock your vessel swiftly and smoothly.

These mobile simulators continue to surprise us with each release. However, if you're not fond of the sea, boats, or naval warfare, driving simulators might interest you more. Fortunately, there are many mobile racing and driving sims out there, and they are just as enjoyable as the ship simulators we just discussed.

Until now, maritime simulation was only accessible with professional, large simulators at training locations or through companies and schools. NAUTIS Home is here to change that! We want to make ship simulation available for everyone.

NAUTIS Home offers affordable, accessible simulation training to continue learning and practicing nautical skills for the (ex)-maritime professionals for a lifelong learning. It is also ideal for soon to be maritime students wanting a low-threshold intro to ship simulation and getting a head start.

Our vision is to ensure that simulation-based learning becomes a vital part of maritime education and training by making ship simulation accessible on a larger scale for maritime professionals. NAUTIS Home will contain standardized courseware for individual training and assessment focused on different aspects of nautical training such as basic navigation and manoeuvring.

As one of the world's most important ports of call, Hong Kong has been at the forefront of international shipping developments for many decades. It comes as no surprise, that for the Hong Kong Marine Department, the ability to make use of cutting-edge ship simulation facilities is an important part of their overall training strategy.

The Hong Kong Marine Department Training Centre, located at the Government Dockyard, provides professional maritime training to departmental officers. It offers traditional lecture rooms fitted with professional audiovisual teaching aids, in addition to various computer-based simulation applications. Premium quality training equipment is essential for providing trainees with realistic simulation environments that allow them to feel and work as if they were on a real ship. Recently the need arose to replace and update some of the original system setups, which had been in use for a very long time, in order for the HKMD to be able to maintain their high training standards.

One of the most sophisticated installations is a high-end, 270-degree seamless edge blending video wall that simulates a modern ship's bridge. The Hong Kong based AV Stumpfl Wings Vioso specialists Cosmo Pro AV helped with the installation of the impressive 270-degree setup. One of the key challenges of the prestigious project was to deliver a reliable solution for the blending and automatic calibration of the seven projectors that would be used.

Jason Yeung, Cosmo Pro AV's CTO, explains some of the technological challenges of the project: "The limited projection distance meant that the camera positions were critical for the ship simulator project. Located in the center of the simulator was the control bridge, which partially obstructed the camera views. Ultimately a total of 7 cameras were needed to fully capture each projection image. In the end it all worked beautifully. Thanks to great technology and the support AV Stumpfl and VIOSO, we were able to successfully deliver exactly what Media-Go and the HKMD had envisioned." Two Wings Engine Stage media servers were used to capture all the image sources from the simulator software, creating one smooth, seamless and synchronized image.
